1. The Foundational Aligned Trust patent, US 12,003,499 B2 allowed in 2024 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, introduces a in new framework in authentication for everyone and every thing in the world.

Less friction. It created the possibility that we would no longer need to prove who we were at every ‘authentication moment’ when we signin somewhere. Instead, every sign-in added to every sign-in, until the hassle of doubt would almost disappear. The patent allows Aligned Trust to create a universal database that would provide authentication assurance for each legitimate person, saying on their behalf: “Yes, that’s her.”

Low barrier to entry. The second innovation was the introduction of non-destructive ‘over-the-shoulder’ architecture. Although Aligned Trust can bring information into every authentication moment, it does not threaten legacy systems., so there is a low barrier to entry for financial institutions. And if Aligned Trust were to be disrupted for any reason, life would continue uninterrupted in those moments, since Aligned Trust creates no single point of failure.

Vanity ID. The first patent also includes the creation of vanity IDs, called TrustID. That means for no cost, or for a little cost, or for a possibly significant cost (depending on how in-demand), millions of people will be able to purchase unique-to-them simple identifications that will work anywhere in the world. So if you purchased your own TrustID ‘Bob,’ no one else could have it, just like a URL. And if Bob is your TrustID, it’s all you will need to sign in, buy a car, and travel the world as if it’s your own private club.

Mastery of the IoT. The USPTO also allowed Aligned Trust to create a universal clearing system for every object in the IoT, from creation to enrollment, through all possible transfers, up to retirement. Among other breakthroughs, this means that the relationship between people and their devices can be clearly assured. But there are hundreds of other breakthroughs inherent in the IoT management by Aligned Trust, including reliable delivery of medicine in hospitals.

2. The Second Aligned Trust patent, US 12,375,476 B2 allowed in 2025, broadens the coverage of the original patent and allows for a number of refinements in its implementation.

3. The Third Aligned Trust patent is pending, and therefore confidential.

4. The Digital Media Provenance Patent Pending. This patent creates the TrustEdition system, which alters the notion that every copy of a movie, or song, or digital written work is the same. With this technology in place, pirate copies can be quickly traced back to the purchaser of that unique copy that was used to make an unauthorized copy. Theft via piracy? Not worth it anymore. Who gets empowered: every creative person – from authors, to musicians and filmmakers. And the publishers, labels and distributors of that creative work. And the rights protectors of that work (artists’ agencies, The Authors Guild, the Writers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America, the Producers Guild, BMI, ASCAP and many, many more.)

5. The Digital Communication Authentication System Provisional Patent Pending. This patent creates TrustMail and TrustIM. Yes, it substantially reduces spam, phishing and other communication annoyances, but even more significant for the world economy, email becomes useful and trusted again. People who need to hear from you will start receiving your messages. Information you would like to have now will get through to you. Trust in digital communication will evolve to a high level.

6. The Personal Digital Assistant Provisional Patent Pending, will now be known as your TrustBuddy. Unlike all other personal digital agents, the Aligned Trust agent is constantly cleared through the Aligned Trust global database system, assuring the user and all who come in contact with the agent that it is actually your agent and can be trusted to work with you on your behalf. This system clears the single great challenge that each human faces numerous times every day — how do I know it’s you? And only Aligned Trust can easily provide that answer with maximum trust and minimal friction.

Some of the other Provisional Patents Pending, include: 7) the Aligned Trust universal numbering system for every object in the IoT including biologicals, with a system that enables the creator, developer, and manufacturer to enroll each object that they make; 8) AI-driven in-the-moment challenge questions derived from the true person’s actual near-time activities; 9) an end-to-end enrollment system for individuals that creates a progressive system of identity validity so that everyone has easy access to upgrading the global system’s confidence in each person’s uniqueness.
